I was recommended Excel by my dad after quite a small move. From the first appointment, to the communication, free boxes, absolutely first class. Onto to the day itself, we had 2 men and vans to load up, they were so efficient, organised and super friendly, all packed up in 3 and a bit hours, 2 vans chocca full. Unloading, we had 2 more who'd come from another completed job, and again they we brilliant. A house move is stressful(never doing it again ??), but the whole Excel removals experience was fantastic. This removal company was excellent! We had 5 people with 4 vans. They arrived at 8.30, was loaded for just gone 12, and unloaded at the other end for 5pm. After months of waiting we finally had a move date and Exel were there bang on time , in came a great team of people who moved us out in a timely manner , arriving at our new home it was tight getting near to the new property but they did it , and by 6pm working through the cold and rain in mid February we were in , the team grafted all day and all with great team work and hummer. But the best testament to this company is that when we found a damaged TV it was sorted out by Neil and his team they were most upset that this had happened , the insurance kicked in and like most insurance companies the were a pain in Exel and our arse but great credit to Niel from Exel who stuck with it and we finally have a new TV installed . When the chips were down you can rely on a company like this I would recommend them highly. Well done Exel we wish you every success

The Service from Neil, Sally, jake, Ben and Karl is amazing. I have moved with them twice for myself and once on behalf of my vulnerable brother. The attention to detail, the customer service and their forethought is how it used to be years gone by. Good old fashioned service. I'm 51 and remember when staff showed they care about you. We used Excel Removals in December to move our 5 bedroom house (and boy did we have a lot of stuff!). Excel first came out and inspected our house, checking how many people and vans we might need, walked us through everything in detail, explained their processes and paperwork and how it would work on the day. We then got a quote through soon after which was very well priced. On the day itself the team of 4 came early, all very happy for an early start! They didn’t frown when they saw the literal mountains boxes in every room!

They carefully laid out the carpet protectors everywhere and we did a walk around the house to explain everything we’d packed etc, they then set to work loading the vans (we had 4 giant vans come – and it was a pleasure to see the vans were impeccable – clean, organised both inside and out – Excel Removals obviously care for their equipment and ours!). The team were absolute superstars – they loaded all items with care, asked questions about any loading/unloading requirements for specific items and if you ever think you were good at playing Tetris…I’m pretty sure this team would put you to shame – the way they packed things in amazed me – it was so organised, making great use of the space for items, using the padded covers for electrical equipment and paintings, strapping them to the van in secure locations and checking nothing could damage them.

After getting the house loaded in just a few hours (which had taken us weeks to box!) we then met them at our new home, after a delay getting the keys we were unloading by around 16:30 – after such a long and hard day moving the team were still full of enthusiasm and no complaints at the late unloading either. They didn’t rush anything and took the time to ask about any item which had ambiguous locations to be put into.

We also needed to take some internal doors off to move the American Fridge Freezer, but the team had the correct harnessing gear to do this and were happy to wait for us to take the doors off. They were done so fast too, and still full of energy after it all! We are so thankful for the teams help with everything, if you are wanting a professional and amazing team of removals around South Yorkshire (Rotherham, Sheffield, Doncaster, Barnsley etc), Excel Removals is the one to go for!

What a fantastic service…

We chose Excel Removals as they were recommended to us by some friends. Now we can see why..

From Neil arriving punctually with a smile to give us a quote, to the guys that moved us out… The service was seamless!!

4 wagons arrived at 8am on moving day and the guys went above and beyond to ensure the protection of our personal belongings whilst loading them swiftly onto the wagons.. TV’s, mirrors, doors etc were individually wrapped and strapped in their own padded sleeping bags (not a technical term) to ensure they were safe..

Nothing was too much trouble for these guys. Even when the job ran 2 hours over which meant them sitting in their wagons for 5 hours until we got our keys, they arrived with smiles on their faces with the same work ethic as they had at 8am!!

Excellent service, would recommend all day long..

We recently moved here from the USA and hired a shipping container from UHaul in the states. Sally & Neil at Excel were most helpful!! They allowed the container to be shipped directly to their warehouse, used their forklift to take our ubox off the delivery truck and put it next to our awaiting boxes inside their warehouse. What a great set of lads. They performed really well under extreme pressure. Keys never arrived on the day so they sat and waited patiently for 2 hours then had to return to the depot, unload my stuff into their storage as they had other jobs booked in for the following 2 days, then it was Bank Holiday , they finally arrived on the Tuesday, much to everyone's relief, everything went smoothly, They were so careful with the furniture, some of which had to be dismantled to get it out of original house, and put coverings on the floors and padded zip-ups around TV and computer. Even though all my furniture had to be delivered twice there wasn't a scratch or mark on anything. Can't fault them at all. Will recommend without hesitation. THANKS

We used Excel for our move last week and we couldn't have been happier with them. Firstly they were really good value, around £500 cheaper than another quote we got. They provided us with really useful information to help us prepare for our move, and then on the day they arrived in good time and did not stop moving and packing for around 3 hours. When we got to our new home there was a bit of a delay getting our keys, but the guys were super relaxed and didn't finish unloading the vans until 8pm that night, meaning they worked over 12 hours and were still chatty and friendly at the end. Everything arrived safely and in logical places! Thank you so much, highly recommended. Made a stressful day much less stressful.

As a Special Needs provision we have had cause to call on Excel Removals on two occasions over the last two years. It has involved moving all furniture, equipment and so on from several full Classrooms and Offices. I have to say thier Service is absolutely excellent. Our 2nd time using Excel for another house move in the last 5 years. We were so impressed with their service the 1st time that we didn’t hesitate booking them again. Neil was friendly and professional when he came to quote the job. We had to change the date of our move and Sally was understanding and helpful with this. If I ever moved again, this is the removal firm I would use to do so.

From the first call to Excel, I was impressed with the customer service received. The quote was reasonable and I knew immediately from speaking to Neil that he knew what he was talking about and was taking me seriously.

He visited my home address (unlike some other firms!), had a proper look around and asked about the new move address and access. Based on this he was able to quote for the right amount, and left me confident that the job was in safe hands.

The day of the removal went seamlessly from a moving point of view, and the guys worked extremely hard on what turned out to be a fourteen hour move!

Moving home is stressful enough, I firmly believe if I had gone with some of my other quotes; things would have gone wrong.

The support we received from the management team was excellent in what turned out to be a less than straight forward move. They were flexible and helpful all the way through. This then carried over to the removal team who were lovely, incredibly diligent with both packing up and unpacking. They constantly had a smile on there face irrelevant of the time of day and wanted to please us all of the time. Hired Excel R&S for a recent home move (March 2022). Whilst there was cheaper alternatives available, the price difference wasn't much all told and we just felt that it would be a better service after speaking to Neil who answered all our questions and spent a decent amount of time going through things and how they would move all our stuff what they would cover up and protect and how they would do it (other companies just gave very brief details). It didn't feel rushed like with some of their competitors.

On the day of thr move, 3 separate vans turned up (each a decent size) and the three lads were all absolutely fantastic in their attitude and with their work ethic. They started at 8am and with the move and unpacking at the new house, they finished around 5:45pm - only stopping for a small lunch break. They really grafted (we had an upstairs flat and they must have each been up and down those steps 50 times each) and nothing was too much trouble. They were all polite, courteous and friendly and a total pleasure to deal with on what could have been quite a stressful day. They really earned their money and we were very happy that we chose this firm to help us on our removal day. Everything about the firm and on thr day was helpful and professional. 10 out of 10 to all concerned but especially for the 3 removal lads. We used Excel removals for our house move yesterday. When Neil came to do a quote he was informative in a very matter of fact way, no glossing or beating about the bush just plain speaking. We knew what we were getting and what we needed to do to make the move run smoothly. Sally in the office was very pleasant and supportive throughout. On the move day Neil and three other chaps arrived and promptly did a sweep of the house to see what they were dealing with, they then commenced using protective coverings on our home. They just ploughed through loading the van, were courteous, pleasant and friendly. We were lucky enough to have a swift completion and gained access to our new property around lunchtime. The chaps then proceeded to unload again in the same manner. I cannot recommend this company enough, we have no complaint’s whatsoever. This was our 2nd time using Excel and once again they provided a brilliant stress free experience.

It was a two day move from Cornwall back up to Sheffield and due to our buyers solicitor dragging his heels the contracts didn't exchange until 2 days prior to the moving date. Both Sally and Neil were understanding and kept the dates free which was one thing less to worry about.

The vans arrived on time and everything was packed in a timely professional manner by three guys who were cheerful and polite.

Again the following day they arrived on time and moved everything in to whichever room we wanted it and everything was damage free.

Contacted Excel regarding a home move. Neil attended my house and after looking around the property discussed in detail the service that he would be able provide. This included showing the insurance documentation for my items during transit. Neil discusses what would happen on the day and how the move would go. Neil gave me a price which I was more than happy with after comparing this with other home moving companies. On the day of the move the removal men were very courteous and took care when putting my belongings into the van.

They put protective sheets on the carpets and door covers to prevent marking the doors. On the day if the removal a bit of an emergency occurred which was delaying the move to my new property. I contacted Neil who arranged for my furniture to be placed in over night storage. I don’t know what I would have done if it was not for the professional service from Neil.

The removal men returned the following day and placed everything where I asked them to 10 out of 10 for service, professionalism and communication.

After an initial visit by Neil, who explained the whole procedure and gave us some useful tips, we decided to go with them because of their friendly approach, organisation and competitive quote. Used Excel last Friday for our house move, Rotherham to Rotherham so not too far! I'm a bit old school (tight!) and like to do things myself, but as we were in the middle of a chain, time was limited. I'm glad we set Neil and his team on as they took a lot of the stress out of the move. They arrived just before 8 and got cracking pretty much straight away. Furniture was carefully wrapped and placed on the van, along with pictures, TV's and the like, all carefully concealed in expensive looking padded bags to protect them!

All 3 guys worked non stop until the vans were loaded. Once we picked up our keys the guys went to the new address and unpacked both vans, taking care with belongings throughout and placing where we directed them to. All in all a brilliant service, reasonable price and no hidden surprises. I would wholeheartedly recommend Excel and wouldn't hesitate to use them if I move again. Thanks guys!

Once again Neil and the lads have excelled. We used Excel to move us to Lincoln in August 2015 and they did a fantastic job in all ways. Consequently when we had to move back to South Yorkshire for family reasons recently, there was nobody else for me to use than Excel. This time because our buyers had to wait for their new build to be completed we had to put furniture into storage, which we also did with Excel.

Sally in the office was brilliant to deal with and the whole process was simple and stress free. When it came time to move to our new property it was again done punctually and very professionally, nothing lost, damaged or different to when it was stored. I can't recommend Excel any more highly, professional team, competitively priced and a real family friendly feel. Hopefully, I won't be needing to move again but if I did I would have no hesitation in using Neil, Sally and their team again.

Neil and his team worked tremendously hard in very hot weather to get us safely moved into our new property in July this year. I think that Neil must have sent his 'A' Team on this job. The three men arrived at 6.50am, to pack pour things in the van. By 10.30 the van was full and off we went. Arriving in Glossop an hour later, the contents were all off and in place by 3.30pm. This had been a stress free move where absolutely nothing was too much trouble for the removal men. If you dream about a stress free removal day, then this is the company for you! They were grateful that we had packed the boxes correctly, but that is all we did really. We moved in2 a flat out ov a 3 bed house.. Excel stored our furniture and when I got my new house keys they brought all our things back to my new home and moved all my furniture in2 my new house the 2 men put everything exactly as I wanted it and being a woman changed my mind a few time and they never moaned or complained they just got on with putting my furniture in my home. I would recommend the company 2 anybody they are fast reliable and very helpful. Nothing was broken scratched or dented in any way. A brilliant set ov lads that got on with the job and had good manners (that many ppl don't have these days) highly recomend 2 anybody. Would use this company again and not consider any other reemoval company.

I just wanted to add my thanks to Stuart and Jamie who moved us from Rotherham to Lincoln so efficiently last week. They arrived spot on 7am as agreed and didn't stop working until everything was safely delivered to our new home. Both lads are a credit to Neil and worth their weight in gold. Both we're not just efficient but pleasant and helpful too, nothing was too much trouble for them and that certainly helped take the strain of moving off us. At a total price half some other better known rivals I can't imagine their service being any better, or even as good as Excel. I have no hesitation in recommending Neil's team and especially Stuart and Jamie who were just brilliant.

Just to say how delighted I was with the service delivered by Neil's Team at Excel Removals. Nothing was too much trouble for them, even to the point of moving my garden planters and rabbit hutch! They took excellent care of my furniture and were careful with the unloading in my new home - even removing light shades and bulbs so as not to 'catch' them going up the stairs. They were punctual, polite, tidy and very professional - all at a very reasonable cost - and they completed my move to the exact minute, so there were no hidden extras. The cost was exactly as per the estimate given by Neil when he came to assess my belongings. I was really dreading moving house, knowing that I had a lot of stuff to relocate, but these guys took the stress entirely away from me! I highly recommend this company and would not hesitate to use them again should I have need in the future. Thanks guys for a job very well done!

I would just like to thank 'Excel' for an excellent smooth move, I spoke to Neil in advance as we have moved a few times in the past (must be the gypsy in me)and I have had some really bad experiences with removals, I have never just picked because they may have been the 'cheapest' I have picked because I thought all removals would be ok! and with my husband busy working away I was after reassurance, how wrong I have been.

Neil assured me that they are professional at all times and all would be dealt with correctly. I even had to swap my 4 seater large sofa and big circular chair with my Son 'who lives in a 3 story flat'! Jamie & Stewart did this for me and it was not an easy job but they were very good and couldn't fault them.

We have had to do a temporary move and I will definitely never use anyone else now, they were excellent, professional and provided a brilliant service.

Neil and Stuart from Excel helped us move from South to North Yorkshire in late July 2013. It was a roasting hot day and they didn't complain once. Our belongings all arrived in exactly the same condition as they left in and the guys were respectful of both properties throughout.
